hi all

hope your alll ok.well after a good look round this forum and finding some nice armor,i have now decided to collect modernish armor and my plan is to do a afganistan type (desert theme) diorama.i no its proberly the easy way out doing a desert dio due to them being baron but what the heck its my first attempt.also i have started my italeri scania r500 but i will start a new thread with that.

so first up its going to be 1/35 scale, and my collection has started today my first models are-

tamiya challenger 1 mk3 and some us snipers in gillie suits (not much i no but its a start).and the age of the tank is proberly around gulf war times so thats the age i am going for.

i haven't had a proper search around the net but does any one no where i can get modern brittish troops and armor and american troops and armor for a good price.

p.s brace your selfs for alot of questions lol as i am going to need help lol

Sounds good Mike. You say it's not much but remember dioramas don't have to be complicated with loads going on.

Simple dios. are very effective as they impact more, whereas the more complex, the more the eye( and brain) has to take in.

Try Netmerchants and The Modeller.com for starters.....also not forgetting ebeegeebeebay!!!

Can't help with the figures but can I suggest you have a look at, even if you already have but in more detail, Scott's superb North African Diorama. The way he has done the desert is really good. Sounds like a great project.
