Here for a bit of fun is my 30 minutes build of a FW190 A-5.

I've had this kit sitting around in a drawer for a while now, so this morning I set myself a fun challenge to see how quickly I could glue and complete the build.

It's an Airfix 1/100 Minikit. already painted and decals done.Complete with a very nice plynth...£1.00 from a charity shop. I tried to get something off the price, but to no avail!

Cheating? Too right, but a great fit and good fun to make. I had to scratch build the antenna!

Here is the result.

Cracking build Ron, especially as it only took you 30 minutes!!!! Then again with your amazing abilities I think you could make a silk purse out of the roughest old pigs ear mate!!!!

Cheers Andrew

You had to scratch build the antenna:eek: my god, these kit manufacturers don't help do they?

Looks good Ron, have you flown it round the room making ratatatat noises? ;)

30 minutes?!??!?

Ron....Defently I will leave the modeling sawing this....

Excellent quality with a minimum build time

That's fantastic Ron, especially since it's been done in 30 minutes  :D ;) :)

Sugar! I've just found out why there was no antenna in the kit - There wasn't one on the real thing!

Quick, don't tell Steve. I'm away to hack it off right now........

Well I did notive the antenna but what a quickie build, that looks awesome and even a tiny kit counts in my books.

Really well done Ron

Robert

30 minutes ? and I bet 10 of them was getting it out of the box, and another 5 cutting the parts off the sprues Ron.

Looks good though

Thanks chaps...

Here's the aircraft minus the antenna....Sorry Mr. stona (and Robert)

Incidently, the kit only had 20 pieces to glue together, and the 30 minutes included cracking open a couple of cans of Boddingtons!

Thanks lads and lady. A Merry Christmas to you too...all the best.

I really didn't expect much from this little kit, but the fit was first class and apart from a bit of filing where I cut the parts off the sprues, it really did fall together. And don't forget, it was painted and decaled too....

The mottling looks a bit naff.....but it was done with some sort of A.B., so what do you expect?! - INCOMING!

Cheers all,

Ron

That's just the kind of kit that's likely to get more youngsters involved! Maybe we should build/show more for them.

PS Cracking little build Ron. Just one question. Did the 30 minutes involve drinking the Boddies or just opening them?

A superb result Ron. It's all been said about the time taken, but I'm still gobsmacked!

A true multi tasker, it would take me a fortnight to produce this. Derek
