I have just examined the other side and it looks like an ejector mark gone rouge right the way through IMG_20210513_104304.jpg

Strange that. It does look a very neat, circle. Looks as if it should be there but looking at photos it clearly isn't :rolling:

I’d say that is an ejector pin Mark as well Peter . It probably got jammed during moulding and hasn’t retracted. Easy fix though, just cement a bit of plastic card over the back and fill it smooth on the outside.

Being a new kit I only got it yesterday I will also lose a lot of detail on the fuselage.
So I have contacted Airfix and got the ball rolling.

Good news all sorted airfix is sending out a spare
I only had to use it once, but I found Airfix to be very good about sending spares. Some years ago, I had an Fw 189 kit that had two sets of wing upper halves but no lower halves, and even though it wasn’t in the catalogue anymore, they sent me the correct halves free of charge.
