Two days after The Russian Federation annexed Crimea on a road just inside the new border .......

These are the main parts for this one ............. This is my first go at building a dio .......... So we'll see if I can't make a "Hash of it".

........ and I've started work on the figures. I was a bit concerned about the quality of the ZVEDZA figures but they wen together really well. No gaps. So I don't think I'll need any filler. I gave them a coat of primer and it looks like they'll just need a little cleaning up on the mould join lines.

I made a start on the Drag Act's bike this evening. It's a fairly simple job apart from all the PE ........... Two hours and all I have to show for it is a brake lever and the front and rear spokes joined together. There are two sets for each that go together offset to make the crossover spoke effect.......... and would they stick together???? ...... It took ages. I really really do hate working with that stuff.

I'm wondering if I might have taken too big a bite with the "Drag Act" and her bicycle......... I've managed to get the spokes in the wheels. It took ages. The PE would not fit into the wheel rims and needed a lot of filing of both. The hole in the centres was too small for the spindles and had to be drilled out. I know the to halves were well aligned when I glued them up last night I used a couple of micro drill bits which were a snug fit to keep them aligned......... I got them in there in the end .......... and now I'm thinking painting the tyres (Black Grey) and the rims (Chrome Silver) is going to be a proper challenge ........ As a note here the wheels and frame are moulded in one piece. Which doesn't help any.

So one of two things is going to happen here. 1) The Drag Act is going to have a nice shiny bike. Or 2) She will be on foot and the bike will end up as a rusty piece of junk at the side of the road on the dio....... Right now number 2 is looking good.

Thanks Monica...... building the rest will be fairly easy (I hope). I wanted to get the hardest part out of the way first.

Great work so far Peter!
Thanks Jim.........This is my first real go with both photo etch and figures. I've decided to call on that "Bulldog Spirit". That "Fight them on the beaches .........and we will never give up" type stuff with it.
