A similar thread, I suppose to the one before - Phil's next model

I have returned to modelling after a long break for what appears to be a common reason; work & family. I see I have about 25 to 30 kits that have been stashed away for all those years, mostly WW2 fighters. This includes 6 or 7 that have been started then also packed away

I also note that the other kits, though unmade have been lovingly and carefully opened, sniffed, fondled, gently poked at, then packed away again till that much anticipated day when I had time to make them.

Well, that day has arrived, and the sensible thing would be to finish off the started kits first. But no; I saw a kit that I'd fancied making for ages, perhaps because of the eye catching colour scheme; and strangely so because my usual fare is WW2. So, to give myself a boost of enthusiasm I will now start making a completely untouched, un - fiddled - with, virgin kit.

It's the 1/72 Revell F - 89 D Scorpion. The decal sheet looks like it will use up half of my Micro Set & Sol!

Yes, it's a long time since I had a virgin on a Saturday afternoon. To get the full effect I should spray some Xanadu perfume and play Joni Mitchell. The cockpit's still a tight fit though

Nice choice geoff , i really like the fifties and sixties jets so i cant wait to see this one on the go cheers tony
