Good evening everyone, I’ve taken quite some time away from the bench but just recently started with one of my favorite German AFV’s. This is a nicely, detailed kit and has relatively minimal amounts of injection marks. However, the interior seems to have more so than many of the other parts that were on the sprues. I’ve been cleaning them up and filling them in, sanding them down, etc. I’ve been Looking for a number of pictures showing the interior of the 251 but can’t find many that are clear enough to show some of the storage bins and boxes that are in the interior. Would anyone know what the storage boxes included or were used for (that I’ve added with photo etch) in the pictures I’ve shown. These storage boxes are located on either side of the seats that also house some rifle racks.

Did a quick google search for - "ww2 german half track interior" and loads of pics came up, cheers

There were 4 different manufacturers for the 251/1 & many changes with combat experience, so interior fittings were 'as needed'. Standard weapon loads also changed. Restored vehicle pictures are not very accurate generally, so actual in service photos are best for reference. Consider; crew kit, fire extinguisher, water jerrycan, med kit, crew machine pistols w/ammo, one or two MGs w/spare barrels/parts & ammo, spare antennae mast, & spare view blocks. All else generally would be in external stowage compartments or mounted on the exterior.
