discussion Aditions to the collection

I just got carried away at my IPMS meeting thet I just HAD to buy a 1/48 Hasegawa A6m3 Zero and a 1/48 Tamiya Beaufighter all for the give away price of arround 25 squid !

I am looking forward to tackling these in the future, but I have to say that beau looks like a complicated build !

Anyone done any of these two kits?

Which Beau did you get Theuns? There's a TF mk X and another I think.. Lovely machines!

hi theuns , great buys! Ive not done either of these two but if theyre anything like the tamiya 1/48 mosquito they should be excellent. The beaufighter is a fave of mine too ,so i cant wait to see yours , cheers tony

Morning lads, its the Beaufighter Mk VI. They supply decals for the Malta desert cammo, the green/grey cammo and then the all over black nightfighter collour. This will be the easiest to do and looks the most menacing!

I had a good look at these kits and the beaufighter is BIG! The only hassle with it ,according to the reviews, is that the elev trim tab actuators are ontop , but should be on the bottom of the elevators. No biggie, eazy to fix

The hasegawa zero is rather stunning aswell, just the cockpit is a build in it's own.

Only problem now is that I have acuired these NICE kits, but still think I need more skills development before I start them, yet the "need" to build them is growing fast now! LOL

Perhaps the zero will be first on the table.
