discussion Advice needed gentlemen - Hobbycraft & Trumpeter ?

I`ve fancied doing an Iraqi dio for ages and just won a 1/35 tamiya M2A2 ods off ebay, with this I plan to get a tamiya Humvee and add 6 or 7 figures , the plan is that a two vehicle patrol come across a battered up dis-owned Iraqi tank on the side of the road in the desert , for one set of figures I will use the Dragon US marines ,

so the advice I need is :- has anyone built any of the Hobbycraft kits as netmerchants do a 1/35 Iraqi 69II tank which is only £11.99 I`m not expecting tamiya quality by no means and I am gonna bash it up so would it be worth getting

also has anyone built any Trumpeter 1/35 figures as I like a few of the poses on the US marine kit but if the detail is poor then I will give them a miss

any advice is much appriciated gents

I can only speak for their aircraft,but it may give you a clue. Hobbycraft are generally okay,not great but not bad. Trumpeter are very hit and miss,they veer from the sublime to the ridiculous (appalling Bf109F), so hopefully someone can give you some specific advice.
