I just build models that im going to enjoy building without getting bogged down in too much research or details. I will try to replicate accurate liveries and colour schemes and occasional light weathering but thats it. Its just a fun hobby for me.

Same here. I weather the thing as I like, with just enough rusting/mud, etc (to me). And thats all for whethering, even though the actual tank may have been coated with mud.

For me it's an own challenge. Few kits that I arrange, I observe his references with the paintings and later I do at myself. Though I have very much historical material, the weathering is improvised by it, always looking but, for the reality (inside my possibilities) I Think that it's easier to reproduce a tank or vehicle, than a figure or house, to approach the reality, and I put for example my diorama under construction. The important thing is to spend it very well and calms very much!!

Have fun
