PLEASE HELP!

Can anyone recommend a FULL airbrush kit. If they do not come as full kits, can someone list what I will need. I've been looking around and to be honest The more I look, the more confused I get. I don't want anything too fancy and that breaks the bank but the research I have done, a lot of comments are saying one with adjustable pressure is good.

Basically I want one that with a bit of practice, will give really nice results.

Any ideas on kits and prices

Paul depends on where you want to go. A cheap one or one which will give constant results and which has all the spares available. The below are quality brushes which will work for ever.

First a a dual or two stage brush. One that you press down on the trigger which release the air under pressure. Pull back the trigger and you have full control over the amount of paint released. I would not even consider the single stage.

Iwata they are first class look in John's Shop and also on the UK Iwata site which tells you what each brush they market is best for. Needle/Nozzle recommend .35

Harder and Steenbeck equally good same look at their site. Recommend .4 needle/nozzle.

Before buying come back and test all the knowledge here as some one will undoubtedly have that airbrush.

The problem that you'll find with most pre-packaged solutions is that the airbrush(es) aren't much good.

So I would say buy a reasonable compressor like the AS-186 that has a tank. This gives a constant flow of air & avoids "pulsing" that can happen with tankless compressors. That will set you back £70-90 depending where you

buy it from.

For the airbrush, it's really down to your budget. £50 gets you an Iwata Neo, £70 an H & S Ultra or £15 gets you an Iwata clone! That's what I have & I can't fault it so far.

I would get a secondary moisture trap, the kind that fits to the airbrush, they work well & make the AB more comfortable to hold.
