discussion Airbrush holder - any clever home-made solutions out there?

OK, some paint tins fell off the shelf and smashed my airbrush holder to bits (lucky it missed anything I'd be upset about!) - it was this one...

In fairness I wasn't that enamoured with it anyway, always seemed a snug fit and scratched the AB.

SO - has anyone got any clever home-made airbrush holding secrets they could share?? I am loathe to spend much on one but may have to since I think I'm going to miss it!!

I have a dirt cheap solution (Maybe 1USD, I don't know the cost in UK). Go to your office, sneak out two biggest paper clamps (the one with black clamp and stainless steal clip), attach them to the edge of your desk. Finally, you get two airbrush holder ... This is ho it looks like

You are, quite literally, the MAN!! What a superbly simple and cheap (assuming I have to buy them) solution!!!

Plastic water pipe from B & Q.

They stock a variety of angle connections which you can make into any configuration you want.

Also pipe holders which you can screw to any vertical surface to hold your pipe concoction. Also a wall holder which can use on the bench top.

Nice thing is that being plastic it will not scratch your air brush. Smash it & build a new one in five minutes & all cheap.

For those artistic types you can airbrush it in whatever colour takes your fancy. Even camouflage it Luftwaffe or RAF. Even finish it with an RAF roundel.

Build a twin adjacent with a stopper on the end fill it nozzle high with airbrush cleaner or thinners to use while the airbrush is waiting for action.

Interesting Laurie, a little more of an "involved" solution but I do like the idea of having the business end of the AB bathing in a puddle of thinners or similar while it awaits my attention.

Phew not tried it myself so hope it works. Will have an intensive scientific prototype in depth controlled trial mess about next week.
