On a day of receovery i thought i'd strip down my airbrush and give it such a thorough cleaning more so than i would do to myself My dad was kind enough to suggest and send me needle lube for my airbrush. He ordered it from Squires for my Badger airbrush. All i can say is WOW what a difference it's made. Smooth needle action and the overall paint job is so much better as a result.

Here's a question. I got a moisture trap for the compressor. Do these things screw onto the compressor? or what i understand from the instructions i have to cut the tube and insert the the pressure trap this way? Is that normal?

On a bad note, i've been finding it difficult to get hold of anything by Humbrol over here. Found out last week that the Humbrol supplier in Russia went bust recently :sobbing:

Hi Paul, bad luck with the Humbrol situation, can you not order the stuff you need from good old Blighty? I use a drop of WD-40 to lube up my needle, works a treat from my last visit, I remember many a dirty window, so if Windolene hasn't made it, I doubt WD-40 has! My moisture trap is built into the pressure regulator which is in the hose from the compressor. Patrick

Hi Patrick. Happy new year mate. Yeah, i've got no choice but to order from good old Blighty. The only problem is the price of shipping to Russia. It ain't cheap I've got a can of WD-40 here so i'll give that a go too My compressor is the OXFAM of compressors pretty much. I'll have to play with it in a minute to see how it's supposed to go together. It seems bizarre having to cut the tubing.

Happy New Year to you mate, you should be alright cutting the hose as long as you have good connections at either end like jubilee clips to keep it airtight. Patrick

Hi Paul,there are different fittings. My compressor has a water trap bolted on before the hose but I have seen them inline. They need to be the right way up to work properly.

If you are spraying enamel paint I'd recommend White Ensign Models Colourcoats,I used to use them and found them easy to spray.They also,conveniently, do a large range of colour matches both axis and allies as well as later stuff.
