My brother arrived yesterday with a 1/72 F-4 Phantom which I have to remark I am very envious of how well built it is.

However I have decided to add a base, just cut an MDF square, routed the edges and poly filled the top for a bit of texture which has been semi sanded back and just applied varnish to get to where photos are.
Hoping to do most of it as concrete or tarmac and then maybe a little grass.

Next stage of it complete, few days break now. Next comes more varnish, paint and then flock etc.
It's going to be concrete slabs with a corner of scorched grass.

So the marking needs a bit of weathering and soil needs dry brushing before grass is added.

Well it was until I screwed a plaque on it
Really pleased with it, the yellow marking line just gave it a bit of extra eye catching stuff.
