Hello Chaps,

I’ve been watching some of this guys videos on YouTube. I thought some of you may find them of interest.

He also veers off into other historical sites and also some paranormal topics but the airfield histories are generally very good.

Geoff.

I came upon a site about RAF Harrowbeer at Yelverton in Devon.
It did a unique merging of old WW2 images with recent images.
Problem for me now is doesn’t appear to be compatible with Macs!!

Edited bit, they have changed the site since my last visit, the merging images are no longer available!! Sorry for the bum steer!!

That’s a shame Doug, I was going to ask you for a link but no point now if it’s disappeared

Geoff, when I get on my laptop I’ll dig the link out. It may be Java related and my Macs aren’t happy with it.
The updated RAF Harrowbeer site is ok, but the merging B/W to present day colour was superb in my opinion.

When you want to run an older Java program (as in 10+ years old …) on a Mac for the first time, the computer tells you that you need to install the runtime — just follow the instructions on-screen (or look here). For the current version of Java, download and install directly from Oracle before trying to run a Java program.

Thanks Jakko, I've lived without Java for a while now and I'm not going to load it for one series of images. (Irrespective of how good they are/were!)

Oh, Link to the page with the B/W WW2 pics/Present day Colour pics - RAF HArrowbeer Yelverton Devon Hope it still works!!
