This was intended to be an OOB build but it ended up being a bit more involved. The tail was modified to a Cheyenne tail, and the starboard waist window was moved back opposite the port window. I also removed the rivets. I applied Kits-World decals but they were useless and I had to resort to using the kit decals, which necessitated the painting of Miss Lace's dress red.

Another Airfix classic as it's intended to be, while annoying collectors! Probably!

Great job Dave, as usual.

What's the deal with the outer port wing upper? I looks a bit like the crew had been on airframe cleaning duty but knocked off for tea before finishing! Ha!

Miko (been a while since I put together a WWII heavy)

Thanks.

A Bit 'O' Lace had damaged it's port outer wing and it was replaced by one from another B-17G. Apparently, the mechanics tried scrapping the old paint off but gave up in the end. See the pictures in the link below

Nice B17 Dave. I sometimes think these aircraft were deliberately made of modular construction. Little Miss Mischief was eventually made up of two fuselages, which were oddly enough, built in different factories.
