I never thought that old Airfix kits couldn't be built, you've proved me wrong! I could never build the blighters, my efforts always had early maiden flights towards the bin!

This build is simply superb, I can only imagine the effort that has gone in to this to get it to a point of being finished. Well done.

Well done for producing such results from this one! This was one of the first kits I ever built (if that's the right word). I remember the box art with the 60s car being driven on board. Despite that, I was so young I misread the 'freighter' bit as 'fighter' and put it through the whole hand-held dogfight routine.

Well I've never seen one of these before, and I like it.

Great work Dan a kit I've not seen before also and to say you had problems with the decals you've done a cracking job on them

Crikey I remember the box art, I spent hours drooling over the Airfix catalogue (nothing changes in my world! ) :)

I reckon the car being driven on in the pic is a Bristol too, not sure though :(

Very nice rendition of the Super Freighter Dan. It looks weird with the longer-nosed version. An oldie and a goodie; these old kits are great for learning and testing new ideas and methods on.

Very nice Dan.Tthat brings back memories.

Used to be a couple which plied back and forward carrying cars (including mine) from Jersey to Ringwood airport.

Pilots sat up very high they climbed a ladder to get up to their cockpit. From memory they only took 4 cars.

we sat in the lounge just above the cars.

One return trip. We were at Ringwood (Bournemouth) airport and there was a delay.

Found out the Pilot and Co Pilot had refused to take the craft. A number of Jersey Cows had been transported

on the previous flight. They refused to touch the aircraft until the "stink" had been eliminated. Wow disinfectant

when we got on was worse than the smell of the cows.

Another time they lost a pilot. He had times mixed up and was in the cafe having his bacon and eggs.
