I decided I want something quick and simple for my next build, so this seemed a good bet. The kit is from 1976, so no idea of fit or finish. I think Airfix do this as a starter kit now?
Anyway, two sprues, plus lower wings and canopy, and some decals. The kit is so old I had to use all my Google-fu to find conversion for the old Airfix "M" paints, then found I'm still missing some after buying the model colour case! Sheesh.
So, late Luftwaffe paints on order, I can start to build...

Excellent stuff Dale,
I'm in :)

I don't know what a Wurger is, but welcome along!
Been mentioned previously - 'Wurger' is a German name for the bird called a Shrike - the other name is the 'Butcher Bird' because it hangs its victims on thorn bushes!

Ah. That makes sense. Live and learn. Thanks for the information.

Well, almost. The German word is Würger, the Umlaut makes a difference as to whether the word exists or not ;)

Forgot how tiny and fiddly this scale is. Still, pilot painted and cockpit primed.

Nice start with the pilot. :smiling3:
This scale sure is fiddly.... the exact reason that I only do planes in 1/48th!! ;)

And despite looking like some weird creature that's the fuselage glued.

Could an @admin move this thread to the aircraft under construction please? Sorry - should have moved before building! Thanks.

Done

I'll sit quietly in the corner and watch now Dale. I wouldn't want to write anything else to be judged wrong.

It's beginning to look a lot like a plane...

Clamps, glorious Clamps. :smiling3:
..... Never can have too many of em !! ;)
When I got back into modelling I bought a starter kit of tools. It included 8 of these mini clamps, 4 double this size and a couple of big "pistol" handle clamps. An absolute bargain find, and has served all my needs so far
