discussion Airfix Handley Page Halifax

Hi all I have an Airfix Halifax and, as I am sure you are all aware I seldom build out of box, I am intending to build this as a mule. Not experienced in planes, is there anything I should know about this kit.

Thanks Patrick didn't know that, the fact it was given to me by my boss who is 78 may have been a clue. No I was thinking more along the lines of probs I may encouter.

An old kit such as this will need patience and probably quite a bit of filler. The internal detail is very basic so be prepared to add scratch built detail if you want to improve the cockpit area. The glazing will be quite thick and the canopy frames will probably not be very clearly defined.

Apart from that if you build out of the box you will enjoy it and have a very handsome Halifax on your shelf.

Thanks Richard, it wont be built oob and I don't think the canopy will matter as I doubt it will look as people think of a Halifax.

It's nearly as old as me! It was first released in 1961.

It won't bother you but I think Revell released a new Halifax a few years ago.
