discussion Airfix HMS Fearless - deck colour?

Doing a bit of research for an upcoming ship build (HMS Fearless) and the Airfix box art shows a green deck, and a few photos found online (of previously completed models) all seem to show a sort of mid green deck surface.
However, all of the photos I've seen of the actual ships (Fearless and Intrepid) seem to have grey deck colours.
Does anyone know why Airfix seem to show a green deck, when this seems to be not correct?

Have a similar dilemma with the hull, as some photos seem to show grey upper and black lower hull,. but some others seem to have a black middle stripe/strip with a dull red lower hull. Anyone what is the correct colours to use?

I know every model is personal to the builder, and there's no absolute right or wrong way to do a model, but quite keen to get this one correct if possible.

As far as the deck goes,all photos I've seen show Fearless's decks as grey.There are plenty of photos on the net,particularly from 1982.

Interesting posts on TMP.Around 1978 deck colours were changed from green to Admiralty dark grey.This clearly happened to Fearless before 1982 but some older ships may still have had the original green.

YES MY HMS TIGER C20 had green an gray deck so i suppose if you PAINT it in green or gray you will be right AN AS For hull ive seen her in gray hull an then just black below the water line
