3 Weeks ago asked Airfix for a replacement. Two 10mm across decals for their Merlin.

Two days ago moaned as I had not heard form them.

Almost instantly (they do read emails but obviously then stack them) they replied. In the post and would I pay £6 for them (I owned up I had ruined the two with the kit). DId that.

To day. An email. They say they will send the decals but not before payment is received this time. Add these are the same two decals.

Ha ha but now they want £10. Does George Osborne realise that inflation is at record levels over night.

Had a moan. probably take 3 weeks.

3 weeks ago i would sing their praises.

What is the decal, is it not possible to "work around" it.

£10 is a bit steep!

Ha-ha I had to laugh at this! When I saw the title I thought it was an Ebola breakout in the Airfix factory at least!

For an Ayrton I would think sourcing an aftermarket decal sheet would make more sense? Then you'll have reserves in case of future problems.

One which goes on a Merlin and they are not standard stuff.

The first lot are on the way and have paid the six pound.

Just wonder what their pricing policy is £6 then £10 for the same thing.

 Blimey, you could buy a whole new decal sheet for less than that.
Actually when I was informed it was £6 that was my thought Joe. Why did I not ask and buy a whole decal set.

To be fair the decal set is amazing. Best set I have ever had. It must cover everything that is on a Merlin. There are over 200 decals and some of those are duplicated for both sides of the fuselage.
