Wow, thats the first impression i had when flicking through the pages of this book, the quality of the photos and the printing is superb, helped by the thick gloss pages. Some of the worlds best figure painters have articles on the way they paint figures and these are backed up by SBS photos, and of a decent size, so you can see what is going on. This book is a goldmine of info; spraying flesh - never done this before, but will give it a whirl on my next figures. Book shows how to paint figures from 1/35 up to large scale busts. If nothing else it offers inspiration and that feeling you wanna paint something - always a good sign.

Scale model shop sell it for £8.99, get it while you can as it seems to sell out as soon as it gets into stock, and no surprise really. https://www.scalemodelshop.co.uk/flesh-and-skin-ak-learning-series-6-book-ak-interactive-ak-241.html

Thanks for your thoughts on this book a great help as I have been thinking about getting it.

Your welcome, its not A4 size but bigger than A5, handy size to carry round and pickup and put down, a couple of name in their are Calvin Tan, Sang-Eon Lee, Gian Xuan Le

All these AK Interactive publication are excellent with great illustrations and tips. I have most of the Aircraft series of books and always look out for them.

I totally under estimated how many I would sell of this book, it sold out in less than 2 days, and I had a lot, I have more coming and according to TNT's tracking they will be with me Thursday, but knowing TNT it's more likely to be Friday/Monday

LOL, think its due to the price and the quality of the book that make it a surefire winner , and a no-brainer if you want to improve or even start figure painting.

I have always been useless with figures, that is one reason I leave out the pilots, that plus to give a good view of the cockpit... This looks ideal to learn how to paint them well. Maybe I will 'indulge' myself one day soon.

Like everything, just a bit of practice, keep the paint thin and glaze up on the tones / transitions.

I have a faulty one of these, the front and back cover has a crease on it, if anyone wants it the can have it for £6 including delivery, I might have another one coming back to me with the same damage, apart from that the book is fine, PM me if your interested.

Hi John.
I'll take the faulty one please, do I do it through the model shop or shall I just paypal you?

Thanks, Mike
