I'm just wondering if this would be suitable to go over the Alclad Aluminium coat of paint I have put on my Command module on my Saturn V build? I've used it before but only on the Hot Metal Red colour from Alclad so I don't know how it would react with a metallic finish.

Thanks in advance

According to few instruction pages found on the internet, only high shine paints are reacting with everything you put over and you'll lose all the effect. I know it from my experience.

As people say you can put decals over regular alclad and then you can put glossy coat over I guess. But can't be 100% sure. Just try on some piece and let us know as I'll be using alclad soon on my MiG and probably will spray clear coat as well..

I would think that the maker has made sure that their clear coats work over their own lacquers. I recall reading on their site that it has no degrading effect on Alclad finishes.

I recommend a visit to the web site.

Just been on the Alclad website and its interesting to hear the guy say he uses a Badger 200 airbrush to apply his metal coats, claims the bottom feed brushes give him better results. He also sprays at a much higher PSI than it says on the bottles, I may give this a go as I have a Badger 200 laying around some place. Couldn't see any info about using Aqua Gloss so I sent them an email :)
