discussion Ali Express Tiny Russian Tank - 1:144 scale

Bought a few of these from Ali Express, and TBH was not expecting much from them, for just a few quid. But, the first one I did, a Tiny Tiger tank, turned out really well, was very happy with it. So, now I'm on to the next one....
A tiny 1:144 scale Russian Joseph Stalin Tank.

These are great if you just want a quick modelling fix as they are so small and simple.
They are only six parts, two tracks, lower chassis, upper chassis, turret and barrel, and thats it.

So after quick clean and sand down, the actual assembly literally takes about two minutes, Lol!
This one has been primed and first coat of paint on, may give it another, then gloss then weathering and picking out some detail, yes, there IS some detail....

Little update on this little tank....
Finished painting, added a gloss coat.


Then did some weathering, not easy on these tiny things.

Not that much detail on this one, so scribed out a few panel lines and added some panel liner, a grime wash and a rust wash.
Looking better, but I think I can get it a bit better, so will have another go.
So far it looks like this...

Ok, so this one is done, tidied it up a bit, did a couple of (few) panel lines again, but there's not much detail on this one TBH, the little Tiger was better in that regard and final matt coat to finish. Pics....



Just for comparison the little Tiger next to the Little Russian.....
