discussion Ali Express Tiny Tiger Tank 1:144 scale

Been browsing Ali Express, never a good idea, Lol!
Found some no name (eg: made in China) mini 1:144 scale tanks, a set of six, so had to buy them, they looked so tiny and so cute....
They turned up the other day, decided to do the first one, a Tiger.
Pics....

Only six pieces in the kit, but surprisingly detailed....

They can just be pushed and clipped together, but I did decide to glue them in the end....


Took about three minutes to build, Lol....
Here is the standard unit for comparison, as I said, its tiny!

I am going to attempt to paint this, so we'll see how we get on....

Tiny Tigger update, started painting, quick coat of black primer, couple of hours to dry, then a quick coat of Buff.
It will need another coat.
Will try and pick out some details, there are some pioneer tools, chains, etc moulded into the chassis, but they are small!

Not bad detail for 1/144 scale, cracking start Peter.

Finished painting, highlighted a few of the accessories, tools, chains, latches, etc, came out quite nice for a little thing, I might do a bit of a grime wash and/or bit of weathering just to finish it off.

Ok, so this little Tigger is now done, I did do a bit of weathering, but being so small it was not easy!
Tried to scribe outa few lines, added a bit of panel/grime wash, then a rust wash, then a final matt coat.
Here she is.... not bad for a tiny little thing.....



I bought six of these little things (via Ali Express), so I have a few more to do when I feel a bit bored or want a quick modelling fix....
