Here's my entry for this GB, the little Group B screamer that was the Metro 6R4.

Quite a few goodies are included like fabric harnesses, some photo etch, and 5 nicely detailed sprues.

I've also got some figures and accessories, although the included decals will be no good as they are for different, and much newer teams.
Also my first time using tamiya spray cans as it was the only way I could guarantee a match with some of the cars graphics.

Splashed out for the Belkits eh, good choice. I've only built their Opel Manta, but it was a cracking kit. :)

It does seem like a nice kit Bob.
Comprehensive, and not what I'm used to, so I think I'm going to have to do some planning rather than just steaming in as normal! :tears-of-joy:

Sorry Buddy. It doesn't qualify as it's not molded in blue plastic...LMAO!!! Stefan, Nick and I have a rep to uphold you know...

On the other hand, that looks to be a really cool kit and a crew too. You'll do a bang up job on it, Andy. You always do...

Prost

I'll get some blue paint on as quickly as possible then Allen. Got to fit in with the cool kids :smiling5:

What a classic car Andy. Following all the way.
I shall join you Andy please .
Coffee if available.
Very happy to have you both along.

I have instant John, if that will suffice :smiling3:

------------

I just couldn't cope any longer being outside the blue plastic circle, so I've implemented a temporary fix :smiling5:

It seems the usual method for cars is to get the bodywork done first, but I've ordered some white paint so that'll have to wait. For now I've been getting on with the engine.

Some parts like the plug leads will have to wait until it's fitted into the car but apart from some decals it isn't far off finished

I've also made a start on some of the black parts

Love the engine build, so neat and lifelike.
HOWEVER, for a professional like yourself did such a shoddy job on the blue paint .

Blimey!! The Mini Metro :flushed: ,
When I was a young,(17 Year Old apprentice),lad,I was going out with a girl who's mum was lovely enough
to pick me up and take me back to their's,(I used to peddle the 11 miles or so across Plymouth, she lived at Heybrook Bay)....
... I was a young nearly 6" lad, weighing about 10 1/2 stone... I had to basically fold myself up just to get in!!:astonished::tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy:

It'll be fine with a flat & polish... :tears-of-joy:

Talking of which I finished this on Friday - RR Wraith bonnet in piano black. I spent so long buffing that my shoulders still ache! Typical black, just look at it funny and it scratches :rolling:

That reminds me of the "League of extraordinary Gentlemen", with a bit of Captain Nemo thrown in!! :)

Thanks John. The guy has more cars (and money) than sense! It didn't quite meet my "perfect" standard, but given the conditions I'm working in, 99.9% will have to suffice :tears-of-joy:

I'm actually working on a big project for him that we're keeping under wraps for the moment, but if it works out I might end up earning a proper living again!

That's a good choice of subject Andy. Kit looks decent. Love what you've done with the engine.
Although the body shell is vaguely Metro everything else is a totally different beast.
