Yes it is. I don’t like it either but I deal with it if it’s a kit I really like.

Grabbed a few minutes this morning and mixed a colour for the front skirt using Light Gull Grey and Tan. Not exactly right but much closer than the xf-59 Desert Yellow suggested by the instructions:

Yes, the decals are something I'm not looking forward to! I have a variety of lotions & potions, and a heat gun if I really need it, but with the metro being quite boxy there shouldn't be too many compound curves to worry about.

For decals, I find warm water helps pre-soften the decals and makes them easier to conform. I use a AirWick Wax Melter, but I think USB coffee warmers would work just as well.
