Thanks again for the great comments.

The kit is the real star here, I'm just adding paint and glue :smiling3:

Careful Andy, car and bike kits are addictive. I always thought of myself as a confirmed AFV builder, but I don't think I've touched one in almost two years.

I started a Miura years ago but stumbled when I got to the fine detailing bits and it kinda put me off.

I think my skills have improved a bit since then so may well try another after enjoying this so much.

The glazing is now fitted. It needs a good clean but I'll wait until the glue has firmed up fully

The rear side windows were fun, with an etch grill and a transparent air scoop. The kit also supplies some sub-millimetre etch fixings for around the edge but that isn't going to happen lol. I'll give them a blob of silver paint instead, same for the other windows.

I've also finished the front bumper & light pod:

And I've decided not to add any droop to the suspension. If I ever want to display it on the ground it would look weird, so I've been cleaning up all of the substantial mould lines ready for a splash of paint. The hub & disc assembly has a poly cap inside for attaching the wheels:

Sorry Andy, I fell behind on this for a little while, but....Damn Buddy, you have been very busy. The detailing of the interior is incredible and probably costed a few nerves too!!! Fine paint and decaling as only you can do and the motor is tops. Looking over the last few pics, the only thing I see wrong is, there's no door handles on it....Or am I jumping the gun about that....

Once in the car they aren't allowed out until they've won the stage, then the mechanics will open the doors with a magic key.

Either that or I forgot to paint them (and the mirrors) until last night... :nerd:

It looked good when I was looking on my phone earlier. Now I've had a chance to have a re-read on my laptop!! WOW, just doesn't do the work justice. Damned amazing Andy - amazing. Your attention to detail and finesse - outstanding.

Thank you very much Doug!

I've done that myself sometimes - "liked" a post but reserved comment until I've seen the pictures on a bigger screen. Trouble is I tend to forget what I was supposed to be looking at by the time I get home
