A quick update, not much progress as I have spent the last 3 days, putting together the 13 oelikon guns, using the pe kit I bought. The pe was so delicate, that I gave up on using the provided barrels and gun body. Instead I used the pe stand and shield and cut off the base of the plastic guns provided in the kit and stuck it to the base.

Looking good Graham.....How you, Alan and indeed anyone who works with fiddly P.E - and succeeds - is beyond me.

I have neither the patience nor the eyesight.....So top marks all round!

Very tempted to try this type of kit some time soon. Have been trying to resist buying the Dragon's Scharnhorst. Cheers Derek

Two of mine were too long so I had to putty the gap

Here is a quick update, the first part of the superstructure. I bought some E-Z thread and thought I'd rig the booms. I have glued them in place as they kept swinging out and getting in the way.

Alan, the guns fitted perfectly. In fact they were such a good fit I did'nt need to glue them in.

It's looking very good mate coming along nicely :)

Oh well you obviously got the best one then lol only six of my barrels fitted perfectly :)
 
Excellent graham , it's really fiddly that mast and mine got destroyed at one point and to be rebuilt and never looked the Same
