Just bid on some model kits on a local Auction house, who were having an online auction and I won two lots! Yah!!!
1st lot has 11 models, including planes and ships, the 2nd lot had 7 models including planes, ships and tanks.
So 18 models all together, cost me £40.
Some Airfix, and Academy, Revell, Matchbox, PM, plus SMER.
With fees will be well under £50 so abut £2.70 per model, so a result....
I will probably pick them up on Monday.... happy boy..... 8-)

Damn, just worked out the fees, and the total will be over £50, (just under £52 to be exact), so it will have cost me £2.80 ish per model!
Still a bargain I think....

Just picked up my latest auction haul of 18 model kits. See pics below....
They consisted of two lots and the second lot auction description did say they were mostly "part" kits and "part built", eg: incomplete.
After checking on arriving back home today, there were indeed five kits that are pretty much not useable, with various bits missing, eg: a Bismark kit with no hull or guns, and another that was just an empty box with one empty sprue!
I have salvaged what bits I can from those, that may be useful as spares in the future, so they are not a total waste.
That leaves me with 13 complete boxed kits, so still not a bad haul, but note to self, go and have a look at the lot before bidding next time! Lol....
At £50 total cost (incl fees, etc) and 13 kits that still only works out at £3.70 per kit so still a bargain IMHO.

Looking forward to making the Stuka as I've never made one, but always wanted to, and both the little Cajka and the little Komet are both tiny! Only about 3" or 4" max!

The komit is a nice little kit if its the one with the trailer to put it on

Enjoy the matchbox kits.....ooooooh the memories :D

A nice haul.Matchbox kits bring back memories of my younger years. The PM model kits im sorry to say can be a mixed bag. Some are to be honest dreadful.I had the HMS Harvester kit a few years ago but gave it away along with a Matchbox Hms Ariadne.
Hours of fun ahead for you.
Richard
