damb it!

Morning Ian

Any problems with my browser I just uninstall download the most recent and install so far  that has worked. Use FireFox which retains settings after uninstalling.

Laurie

sorry to hear Ian, think try what Laurie, said and just save your bookmarks else were, so you can import again

as i use firefox as well and has had its moments,

Have had fire fox before. Never again.

I will try a reinstall of the browsers and see if that help. I think I have the .exe files I need.

A bit hard to down load them when I cant see the internet...

I have same problem, on my comp always not responding (not only for the browsers)

After formatting disc and re install windows and all programs, now working fine.

I was try to found solution online but nothing to found.

So, I solved with fresh re install of all

I know I didn't help but just to share my expirience with you

And I'm using Chrome (Firefox is to demanding and slow, IE never used)

Do you have a way of restoring the computer to an earlier time Ian? It's called System Restore and is found in Windows under Control Panel>Recovery. It restores your computer to an earlier time and does not affect any documents, music or pictures. You can select a restore point to where you know the system was working.

I'd try that before the radical formatting option.

i tried that last night Joe but it did not help. drivers are also up to date...

Ian have you tried installing Explorer from your original installing CD ?

This will then give a base for downloading your favourite browser.

have you just updated graphic drivers, ?

if so i had the same or simulator problem with the catalyst control center drivers so had to roll back before i installed

the new drivers,or can always try reinstalling the,

hope its of some help

Have you tried control panel - programmes uninstall/install then the windows features tab and install internet explorer from there which should if it works ok tell you whether its Chrome gone up the duff or the computer. You can then use IE to download another copy of Chrome, which I must admit I have stopped using as I have had a lot of problems with it. But being a braces, belt and bit of string person I always have two browsers installed. Remember a computer is an electronic device, therefore not of this world and will try to upset you at every chance it can get.

Another Ian

Can you download Explorer on your wife's computer. If so you could then copy to your PC and the gods being with you install a new Explorer and then your favourite browser.

Which browser are you using Ian ? Not Explorer ! :eek:Laurie
I normally use Chrome and have never had any issue with it. I have IE 11 as a 'back up'.

I have now uninstalled chrome ( :-( ) and gone back to IE 10. I have tried reverting to an earlier driver, even reverting to a roll back point on windows.

Same thing. Every thing works, exept the browser windows. Most odd.

Next up is a rudy great hammer!

No more HP lap tops for me, this is the scond one that has gone tit's up in the graphic department!

TBH I am considering a desk top again. At least when they go ape, I can fix those! (as long as its a hardware issue that is!)

for your enjoyment I have now managed to include a couple of photos. Remember the browser windows are the only things affected. weired or what!
