Anyone feel like making a tutorial about converting static models to RC?

Hi all, was leafing through the tutorial section and couldn't find anything on converting static models to RC. I'm particularly interested in making my Hood an RC so I can have some fun with her in the pool or down at the local pond. Anyone feel like explaining the intricate details and exactly what is needed to a complete novice?

p.s. entirely possible I missed a tutorial if there is one already (in which case ignore me)
