with the idea,s you came up with Richi im always very interested ,you never cease to amaze me ;)

Wow, that is a rather swanky hi tech solution, but a cool method of creating the leaves.

Quite ideal and not so fiddly. :)

Thanks alot for the compliments you all,

So here's a small update, made some leaves in different tones and detailed them a little and pushed in some detail in the form.

Then I started with the tree branches on the Stug put together from 2 different kinds, first some top pieces from a plant and glued some sea moose branches to it and fitted theme on the Stug.

Gave the branches a little color.

used the paper ones and I was not satisfied with the result (need to say I am very picky about those things).

So I had those pe plants and leaves stuff but not enough, but I read about Fimo deko gel a while ago on Calvin Tan's blog and tried it. He put a coat of Fimo on the Pe, heat it with the heat gun and peeled the Fimo of and reproduced a leaf.

So tried that and it worked but after 3 or 4 times the leaves broke from the spru. So i tried to make a silicone mold from it, well that seems to do it, but it didn't because the leaves are very thin so I put them on another piece of copper soldered them together and made a new mold, and that worked great.

But here are some pictures of creating the first mold, the result then the second mold and the result of that. But have a look at it yourself and tell me what you think

Hello all and thanks for the compliments,

here's a small update on the Stug III, put on the side skirts, put on some damage, and painted them. After that, I put on the branches and detailed them some more. ( they are ready to receive the leaves).

Added the first layer of mud that is mixed out of some dark earth found in the garden and some diluted pva glue. Not that much while most of it probably has fallen of driving on concrete roads.

And that's all for now it's drying time.

Thanks for watching and any kind of comment is welcome.

I originally thought the leaves would look out of place against the tank, but I was completely wrong! It looks so realistic and detailed! I think it looks absolutely fantastic and I can't wait to see what comes next ;) :D

Thanks Blair,

well I tried a couple of different mixes of the Fimo deko gel and threw them all together which made a nice mix and as the branches are drying out, the leaves are turning brown. ;) But it took a while until I was satisfied:rolleyes:.
