I purchased some metal after market tracks for this one as the rubber ones it comes with weren't all that.

Suspension was a lot of fun, you're supplied with a rubber sheet which you cut into shapes to act as the suspension so you make it as hard/soft as you like.

Tracks were blackened with VMS Blacktrack pro 2 and then burnished the heightened parts of the track with a wire brush.

Mud / Dust effects using VMS spot on pigments with 'light' carrier, same for light rust.

Nice kit, but I created lots of new swear words..

Many Asuka Sherman kits also include some sprues with little plates to use instead, but the instructions don’t necessarily mention them — in some cases it’s on the side of the box somewhere, and with others you don’t get any instructions for their use. Anyway, they’re little rectangular plates with rounded corners and A, B or C on them:

These are from an M4A2 kit I have in the stash, but I didn’t feel like taking them out of the plastic yet

A is 1 mm, B is 1.5 mm and C is 0.5 mm, and you want 1 mm inside a bogie for normal position. You can put 1.5 mm in if it is to ride high, or 0.5 mm for a heavily compressed bogie.

Edit: I just noticed this kit is one of those with instructions on the side of the box:

I've not seen that before so fancied a go!
A bit finicky but OK in the end.
