That seems to be the norm with supose beers from countries, I know an ozzy who says that they don't drink fosters in oz it's just for the tourists
I don't know what it is with Belgian beers and I have to admit it's not the streanth of them , I like German wiebeer and that's one of the strongest on the market , it just makes me more argumentative, Amstel has the same effect as well so I stay away from them

Funnily enough there is something in that, my mate couldn't drink Sol, if he did he used to get really angry.

It's funny isn't it, my brother in law can't drink skol for the same reason

Whoops 45% proof (who needs it) not Sainsbury not Asda.
Edradour distillery none of the blended stuff 25 year old malt. absolute perfection


Who is worried about the price two tots and the whole world is yours.


I bought a bottle in Scotland at the distillery. Brought it home. Had a tot each.


II then next day and afterwards (it was a blur) totted the rest.


Phew she was furious. I did no care I did no mind I did drink it all.

Mind you it's real ale that I really like. A Doombar, or some other 'proper' beer for me. I would not buy that gassy cold weak stuff like Bud if it was a fraction of what Asda sell it for !!!!!

You are right Barry a lovely place in the middle of no where and the Whisky best I have tasted.


Amazing way they have of delivering the water from a diverted stream above the distillery.

I visited the Tallisker Distillery on the Isle of Skye recently to buy a bottle of whiskey for a good friend of mine who asked me to "Get me a bottle of good swag!"


For around £40, a nice vintage was purchased. I don't drink spirits, but I had a look around the various whiskies on offer, there was one type on offer for £2075 a bottle, with a sign stating 'Last two bottles'


As for the aforementioned beers on this thread, all I can type are the thoughts of the great Bard and drinking buddy, my mate Pete.......

I'm inclined to agree.


It's pointless throwing empty bottles at me 'cos I'm surrounded by wire mesh, just like in the film 'The Blues brothers'
