After cutting out a lot of those wooden parts in the original pic, most of them were not needed so were left out in the fuselage build. I did make up one or two new bits purely for strengthening the fuselage. I remade all the tail parts (not shown in the pics) and adopted a different mounting method for the stabiliser bars with the side fins on. The plans suggested drilling through the tail boom and fitting these with specially bent rods - far too fiddly as I have found out on one of my other heli's that has this same system. I have gone for a more direct mounting of these parts which is a lot easier and as it happens, it is exactly as per the full size 222.

As for the rotorhead I mentioned - a couple of pics for you.

First is the head with the flybar pivot tower still attached - the black tape on the shaft marks the cutting line. 2nd pic is with the pivot tower removed and cutting tidied up - leaving a very scale like flybarless head. This now only requires 2 linkages to make it work compared to 7 on the original flybar head :D
