sorry im late for the party but heres my entry for the GB

U.S. Army Bradley M2 IFV

its been in my stash for over 10 years so its about time it was done

it comes with a full interior but since i have no intention of having the hatches open i dont see the point

looking forward to starting it in a few days

and this is the sprue that has the interior thats not going to get used

slowly making progress.....life and work getting in the way as normal

done my usual trick of bonding in a nut so i can use a threaded rod as a handle, and also bonded in some ballast to give the whole thing some mass, so it 'sits' on the rubber tracks better

keep a tube of 'no nails' type stuff handy ....i superglue the nut in then use the no nails for the ballast

a bit of threaded rod makes a handle..........and a block of wood with a suitable hole makes a stand

im at the point where i need to be thinking about paint, plan is to try some preshading which is something ive struggled with in the past

Just go for it!! There is technically no right or wrong way, its the main coat that follows that is the trick. Too much and you obliterate the pre-shading - just build up the main colour in light layers until you happy. JOB DONE!!

thats my problem, i tend to be a bit heavy handed with the top coat

so i tried this preshading malarky after all, then a sandy coloured top coat

not sure what order i shall do things next, probably tracks, sides, clear coat, decals, wash ,matt coat, weathering, then scab on the greeblies

Pre-shading looks good Paul. Nothing to stop you post shading with a slightly lightened main colour if you wanted to highlight some of the top panels.

had an oil wash and then a coat of matt varnish.....next step is some sand in the nooks and crannies
