Planking good work Peter are you finding it hard to bend the planking on the bow ?. As when I build my ships on a scratch build hull I normally have to steam the wood to get it to bend whithout snapping

The planks seem to be very forgiving as thy only need a quick soak.

Well that's good you doin a good job on her but as mick said oh that riggin will keep you busy oh boy
Rigging doesn't scare me as I still have my victory to finish it's finding a space Is going to be fun.

Well Peter how come you dint finish victory ? did it turn into a stalled build ?

I have the New Bedford Whaling Boat wooden model in my basement. Haven't been able to talk myself into starting it. Nice planking job. Is that the outer planking or under planking?

I do believe it's the outer planking.

Do you have to steam the timbers to get them to conform?

Just a quick soak in cold water does the trick as the planks seem very forgiving.
