BMP -2 In Aleppo - Buildings construction

Thread owner
True
Little more work done
Will make it more interesting by adding debris of war like an ammo box etc on it and ah, also sandbags ...
On the right hand side it will merge into the rubble piles of the building

Thanks John i live in an old building where the rendering is flaking and brick and mortar have seen better days so i collect what i need and sift it through various sieve to get varying degrees of corseness.complete with cat litter and bits and pieces of what is lying around that might look good - you can always cover it up

I think in terms of adding texture the mixing in of gravel and small pebbles in the plaster/celluclay or what is etc is very important

I agree Steven, I recently made up some wall filler, made 3 lots, adding colour to each . Spread thinly and allowed to firm up, then cut some straight lines into the mixes and did some small brick shapes.
When dry I bagged then up, as I used some on the Tiger dio I ground some up into very small pieces, certainly gives the desired look. So thank you for posting those photos .

Thanks John i was going to go with chipping fluid for the boxes but thought it overkill upon consideration and just used a brush
I am focusing on getting parts of the dio done completely before moving on so more rubble ramblings coming up I am afraid.
Also, sandbags are almost done save adding some pastels

Thinking of adding the remnant of an awning to our small shop made a frame and will stretch some putty over it ( in tatters of course) - might bodge the whole - will let you know

Thanks mate:thumb2:
Apologies for the lack of structure but I detoured into figure territory:
I have been on the fence - still am...-regarding the inclusion of casualties so on a trial basis :

Added more rubble around the small shop.
At the back of the building its mostly concrete slabs from the collapsed roof but the wall has collapsed as well and that is cinderblocks so the rubble would reflect that, so I mixed a few whole and shattered ones in there
Pic shows how it will look integrating the mortar position

Thanks guys much appreciated
More rubble and testing one of the pices hanging by the rebar - needs to be adjusted in size
Btw the small spread of rubble in front of the gate is brownish due to Ak 's gravel and sand fixer but turned whitish again after drying
