thanks joe but this one is the easy one as ive only fitted in 4 leds so far so not that amazeing im afraid as the hard ones were the big tomcat an super hornet with up to 24 leds all fitted into them plane the big phantom im doin next will be a hard one but thanks my freind for your kind reply

Great work Chris. Do the plans mention anything about adding nose weight?

HI Steve im glad you mentioned this as i had not thought about this plane bein a tail sitter as both my big 1/32 tomcat an super hornet dint have this problem so to be on the safe side i think i will add a bit of lead in the nose so then no worreis cheers for tellin me that

yes im havin fun building this small 1/48 phantom as it will help me on any probs when i start on the big 1/32 scale phantom sent to me airborne which was very kind of him an will be straight after this small phantom as i want to go to town on that plane as bein a TAMYIA kit should be good so see how things go an back to this small phantom im hopein today to solder the main power plug an fit it into the fusealarge will show pic when done

AN HERE ive now stared to fit the eletric fusalarge side to the wings an neraly forgot to plug in the wings nav light plug but it now in OPPS IMG_0711.jpg

MANY THANKS Ian yes the lights went in just peachy an this is a practice kit for when i go to to town on the big 1/32 phantom an on that im goin to brush paint the camo on it with hairy stick an i havnt done that in 60 yrs of modelin only hope i dont make a mess of it

Coming along nicely Chris. At 1/48 this is going to be a cracking model. In my youth I spent a lot of time around Phantoms. Dad was a Chief Tech in RAF and one of his squadrons was the 43 "Fighting Cocks" equipped with the F4 Phantom. We had them at Leuchars in Scotland and then went over to RAF Bruggen in Germany about 1969 ish.
Spent many a happy hour at the side of the runways watching them taking off. Happy days.

HI Steve yes i loved those days at RAF COLTISHALL an goin on there with my dad as he was the heavy duty crane driver so i got to ride around the airfeild with him an see all the planes up close mostly lightnigs though an i love that phantom picture thanks for posting it an i want to paint my big phantom in camo veitnam style

HI ALL well its taken a while to do more on the show time phantom as life was gettin in the way but over the course of the last few days ive managed to get a bit more done on this plane an some pics for you guys IMG_0714.jpg
