CHEERS Arnie yes its proggressin well when i can get the parts to fit but now with the wings to fit on an the wires to wire up with the main undercart wires an the engine ligt wires im sort of stuck as which to do firstly an fittin in the engines as im bound to get this prob come up that i should have fitted some part before somthing elese so im goin to have a good think on where i go from here so some plannin ahead as the main jet pipes on the engines are not shown in the instruckions or the colours so yes a good thinkin ahead is now a must but i bet i will come unstuck on something oh dear

IMG_9095.JPG

an close up shot of them eletric plugs an so far all lights work so just got the horzontal plug to wire up to feed all the lights in the nose section IMG_9096.JPG

an here a nice shot of the bussiness end of them engines but there are more bits to fit on the engine ends but again them instructions are crap an dont exsplain it to well so will have to have another THINK an the engines afterburner dont look great as i said there are more parts to fit on them IMG_9097.JPG

HI ALL another small update on the cat as ive just fitted on all the eletrics so they are now done but will all the lights work stay tuned to this thread lol an just now today have fitted on firstly just the starboard wing to see how much wire i need so the wings can pull in an out an the top half of the fusalarge is just laid on to see if there will be probs fitting it when the time comes an yes there will be AaarrrcchhhIMG_0021.JPG

an next i removed the top halve so i can fit on the port side wing an again not a good fit but will have to do will proberly be better when i have the top half fitted on to give the bottom half more strenght as these wings are quite heavy
IMG_0028.JPG

AN YES its beginning to look like a tomcat now as ive pulled in the wings to the full swept vershion but i think its goin to be a right PITA when i try to jion up both fusealages as again they dont quite fit their placement pins out by about half a mm so i will have to ask jen for a bit of help to hold it while i glue the seems an insert the rear plug for all the top lights an insert the front plug for all the nose lights but will take it steady an see how i go IMG_0025.JPG

AN HI Steve thanks on the wirein job yes she should look the dogs dangleys lit up lol but that wirein was a hard job for me as to how to think of bringin all them wires in to the circut in the space allacated to me in the fusalarge space but treid it an it should just fit togeather ok
cheers for lookin in ATB

HI GUYS
well another update on that cat an like Doug says below
Doug
(Qoute) below
Oh come on Chris - you didn't really expect it to go smoothly did you????? :tears-
WELL Doug you was right an it dint AS today i treid to fit the top half of the fusalarge to the bottom half an well the bloomin plane has got the drop on me as it dint fit an in this pic ive just connected the 3rd eletric plug in to carry power to the top half an it fitted an works well IMG_0029.JPG

but then just sat for a while just lookin at how it will fit togeather an havin a good think to gain a little insight when i start to glue it togeather here IMG_0030.JPG

an this is when my troubles really started as i started to glue it togeather at the front half an yes the starboard wing leadin edge fitted wellIMG_0031.JPG

AN then turned the plane around to look at the port side an just nipped it togeather with my fingers an yes it just fitted so glued an fitted clamp on the front part but with even these big clamps pulled up tightly the rest of the leading edge an what a horrible fit as the pin fitment was not in line with the hole about a mm out so to try a get a good fit i had to cut off the pin but there was still about a 2 mm gap Aaaaachh not happy with thatIMG_0033.JPG

SO yes now the bad fit has started in enrnest as lookin at the fit a bit further back its a tight fit but not the wing leadin edge Aaaaaaccchhh bloomin trumpy
so now it looks like its out with the filler OH DEAR an i cant glue the back part of the fusalarge as got the shakes bad as i dint want to cause any damage while tryin to run a smearin of glue so will have to wait till jen comes home from seein her freinds an then i'll ask her to hold the plane on its side so i can hold the glue in both hands to glue it what a crap fit but the gap that can be seen has not yet been pulled down sothis is not the bad bit IMG_0032.JPG

an here it can be seen a tight fit so cant clamp any more IMG_0034.JPG

There is something seriously wrong if there’s a gap that big … are you sure nothing is in the way for the fuselage halves to come together better? Perhaps the wires you added for the LEDs?
