Just heard on the BBC London news that the Bomber Command memorial in Green Park has had the word "Islam" sprayed on it in red paint.

Make of that what you will.

Some one Tony who has not obviously studied history.

But then they must be "nutty" so the above it is not very surprising. You have to feel sorry that some types are prepared to lead an empty life.

I am disgusted ........... A memorial to the 50 plus thousand incredibly brave young men who gave their lives fighting for freedom. Whatever it was painted on it is unforgivable.

I am going to be very cautious with my reply here as I do not want this thread or anyone to get into trouble with replies. All I will say is that whoever it was from whatever nationality and/or religion they deserve the biggest kicking and then the full weight of the law thrown at them. There is no actual proof of who it was so far so I do not want to see this go down as a 'bashing' thread.

May the people and animals to whom those memorials are dedicated to rest in peace and have my heart felt thanks for their service to my country and freedom
