Hi Bob
Nothing shabby about that. Very well done. I don't know if you intend building this again with all the bells and whistles but the comparison would be worth seeing.
Jim

That is looking very good for a model built with nothing but the contents of a starter set. In fact you wouldn’t say that that’s all you had.

Great job I do hope you will do the second half because if you can do that with minimal paints just think what it would look like if you went all out

Cheers guys. I didn't take any up close pictures otherwise you would see how shabby the paint finish is. Luckily with grey it hides a lot of sins. :)

Hi Bob
Close ups don't do the paintwork any favours. My Vampire is the same. Close to shows its faults. Having said that I still say well done. Were your decals Cartograf and rather good? Mine were but Oh for an application or two of MicroSol.
For all its restrictions this GB has certainly made me realise that i do need all the "extras" I have acquired over the years.

Cheers. :)

Jim, there was no info on the decal sheet but I wouldn't be surprised if they were Cartograf, they certainly laid down well with just water, although didn't settle into the panel lines.

Bob, don't let 'em grind you down!

Anyway will all participants of this G.B. kindly send me your G.B. brushes?
For me to use? Not on your life! I will use them to light our incinerator or as markers for my newly planted runner beans!

Really? I had much the opposite thoughts.
I really missed the airbrush, MicroSol, decent paints, my usual glue, primer, filler, scriber etc etc. I've simply got so used to them being there that the GB brought home to me how much I took them for granted.

This.

What I missed the most was a wide flat brush, and of course a few more colours.

The main thing I missed was my usual glue — Revell Contacta is pretty good, but I’m not a fan of the needle applicator. Other than that, I have no problem building a model with just a knife and a couple of colours.

Maybe it’s just because I’ve long had the habit of occasionally (every couple of years maybe) building a model like I used to when I was little :) That, and brush-painting a lot anyway because of a dislike for cleaning airbrushes.
