Hi guys,

Started painting the Panzer today. I'm going to paint each toon with a different technique, this one is getting black basing. :)

On an unrelated subject, I tried my hand at mould making and resin casting for the first time. I'm quite happy with how it came out. :)

Bob, lots of good work coming along here, just one question, which tank is wearing the propeller :tongue-out2:.

cheers

Cheers guys. :)

Ross, the prop is going in the barrel of the Tiger, it was a new anti-personnel round the Germans were testing. :tears-of-joy:

Evening all. :)

Started the painting, the Panzers had its thinned top coat and been glossed. The Panther has had its dunkengelb base coat and is drying in preparation for the next colour (it's going to be Tri camo).

The plan is to get them all to the gloss stage, then get all the decals applied in one session.

Hi Bob all coming together very nicely, the casting look really clean and crisp.
Pete.

Looking good Bob, like the first photo one post back, the one with the mottled look esp.:thumb2:

Cheers gents. :)

John, that was the Panzer before the final thin coat. The mottling is to give some variation to the grey. It doesn't come across in those photos too much because of the gloss but should look better when the matt goes on.

Cheers guys. :)

Sprayed the Tiger today. This one's getting chipped so had a layer of hairspray first. I had a quick go on a couple of the wheels and so far, so good.

Bob .
Nice and subtle so far, are you planning to do more ?
John .

Cheers John. :)

Yes, lots more. As these are caricatures of tanks I'm planning on overdoing the weathering, far more than I would do on a "normal" model. This ones getting chipped, the Panzer's getting rust and the Panther is getting dirt.

I only did a little bit last night as I found the paint was still a bit soft and was tending to wash away rather than chip. Hopefully when it has fully hardened I should get better results.

Cheers John. :smiling3:

Got the tiger chipped. Didn't go quite according to plan but I'm satisfied with the result.

I got it and the Panther varnished so tomorrow will get decals on all 3.

Evening all. :smiling3:

Started on some weathering tonight. The Panzer has has a pin wash with some streaking rust, and some pigments on the exhaust.

The Panther has had a gunk wash with some Flory clay wash, most of which has been wiped off.
