Nice to put a face to the written word John. Looks like this thread is on a bit of a roll, great stuff.

P.S. WHAT A BIG ORGAN YOU HAVE !!!!!!:music_too

Ron

Oh well, you asked for it. I couldn't find a modelling one so here is me punting my aunt and uncle up the Cherwell whilst SWMBO sits on her ar*e and tells me how to do it!

I'm originally from Oxford where we stand at the slopey end rather than the smooth end like Cambridge. (Oxford trip,Cambridge slip)

I preferred the one in the rubber ring!!!!!

Steve

Wo Ho! The man at last. I hope that cool box is not the one I bought on ebee geebee Bay last week....The bloody thing was knackered!!

Nice one Steve.

Ron

No Ron the cool box contained .......Champagne and I've still got it (the box not the shampoo!) This was a four punt family day out earlier this year to remember my mum who loved going on the river. Not at all a sombre occasion, good time had by all, aged 8 to 80, as she would have wanted.

Mind you my brother still owes me his half of the drinkies........ho hum.

Steve

I had to work from boxes on the kitchen table, putting stuff away after each building session.

So I had a bespoke mini man cave built/display cabinet.

Nicely sorted there Backbreaker. I get a whole room for a project but have to be able to clear up at SWMBO's behest - you know, relatives arriving etc.

Why, i thank you Ron, soooooo nice you noticed lol. The keyboard is to keep my fingers going when i'm thinking or just taking some time out from modelling. I've taken it up again for a little brain training (see, you can teach a new dog old tricks. (Hang on, thats wrong:thinking:)).

You mean to tell me that your Wife stuffs you in there? :dancing1:

Here we go then, I know Ron said three pics but as i build on a larger scale than you guys my workshop is a lot bigger, in some cases 200 times bigger than some of the ones shown. It is only understandable as i need the room, plus i can get away from Ting Ting in there.

And there is a picture of me at the end as i havent got any of me working in the shop.

Cheers

Andy

How on Earth do you manage to produce such wonderful work when you've got your plans upside down!?

:poster_oo

Gern

Well spotted mate, and the answer to your question. I have two ways to overcome this, 1. i build the plane upside down and do the same with my radio when im flying and 2. I build from right to left instead of left to right. lol

Cheers

My admiration for your skills goes up in leaps and bounds every time I look at your plans! How you going to cope with the fact they've shown the engine mounted on top of the wing?

Gern

PS Please don't say you're just gonna turn the plans upside down 'cos then I'll just get totally confused!

I spotted that to mate, i think it is a print error and i have allowed for this, i am going to build the retracts the same way and then turn the wing upside down and then back to front, then fit the motors upside down and swap the props to pushers counter roatating. That is my theory mate.:lost:

I've been away for a few days and where I have been to computers/internet are known but not wanted.......Bliss!!

So I am just catching up..... again.

This thread is really going great guns now. I would like to thank all you people for taking the time to post AND be humiliated in public, about all sorts of subject matter.

Thank you for the fun reading.

Ron

I'm in AWE backbreaker,

Its good to see the different kinds of set up's people have got, I'm quite new to modelling and like I said in my introduction, I've got the "bug" bad so I've persuaded the wife to let me have my model workshop in the attic, just have to get started building it, well at least put a table up there..LOL.

Got some good inspiration from some of the pic's..hopefully soon I'll post with mine.
