At last today I was blessed with a nice blue sky.

All brush painted, toned down and weathered using Vallejo Model Air Acrylics.
I painted the cockpit frame freehand, as I'm useless at masking such things.

No more a Leopard onesie either.... :tongue-out3:

Most of the decals disintegrated. I wasn't going to go to the expense of buying new ones, so I completed the various jigsaws where required as best I could.

Hi Ron
As always a great result. You abilities with the hairy stick are impressive - shows what's possible.

Thanks for the great comments boys. Much appreciated.

With any model it's worth waiting for a nice sky to use as a back drop.

I'm glad after all this time having the model hibernating in a box, I finally got around to completing the build!

It gets a wow from me 570, great idea for the photos using the sky like that.
You always present your models so well.

Thanks for the wow 453..... :thumb2:

Using a decent back ground not only helps the pictures, but keeps the viewer's eye on the model.

I still see on here folks posting superb models yet I can also see all the items in the kitchen/ lounge, whatever.

At the very least all it takes to transform the presentation is a couple of pieces of card.

Thanks again John.

What a to**er!
This morning I've just discovered I forgot to add the white fuselage band.

So here it is. Still wet off the production line.

Cheers.

Ron, great result, love the sandy look and photos too. Nicely photographed. Good thing you remembered the band!

Thanks Joe.
I was really hacked off at forgetting the white band, especially as I'd gone to the trouble of posting the first pictures without the bl***y thing!

453.... Let me know what size and I will order one for you from my taxi driver buddy in Istanbul. I don't suppose you would want the luxury fur lined one this weather though!... :flushed:

Splendid old boy. Your camo' blends in well with the ground. Mind you, it would be pretty poor camouflage if it didn't !

Great result Ron :thumb2: :thumb2:, neat photos as always and good that you remembered to put the fuselage band later on:smiling:.
