Guys many thanks... 570 Its all done with mirrors and I pay the management. :smiling::smiling:

Today I fitted the guttering, would have been quicker to do 1/1 :flushed::smiling:
Made the brkts from pewter, drilled a 7mm hole into the gutter and then fed the down pipe up and glued it in. I glued the brkts on the foam board and then slipped the guttering under as in 1/1. Down pipe brkts were made again from the pewter folded over as in the roof joining strips, then just wrapped around, over lapped and removed. The over lap was glued and when dry the brkts were slid up the pipe.

the top brkt slipped down ! when the building was placed up right :smiling:.
Later it was re glued in the correct place.

Couldn't believe my luck when it worked and the brkt folded over.

Well there we have it, at the end of play I primed all the pewter , and foil , including some of the under side.
Get back to your seats after the interval, Cpl Jones is on the bar ably helped by Allan Dewire who has flown in for this next stage.
Note books ready. :smiling3:

Thanks for following, the kind comments. Suggestions that I move to a dolls house forum are uncalled for .:nerd::flushed::smiling:
John.

Peter...... Thank you, I actually feel safe when doing building, as know a little bit more than I do with the kits ! Where I know hardly anything .
Thanks guys .

John boy that is a truly great building. Top marks on a job well done..... :thumb2:

You are quite right, it does help me too having been 'In the Trade' when it comes to designing and building our own stuff.

And your cracking model more than proves it.

Thanks Ron.

I know there are some inaccuracies, esp the joists going that way but easier to hold the floor up with the back wall missing.
The best is yet to come !!!!!! If you know what I mean gov. :flushed:

Good evening gang.
Well some progress this last few days. Windows have been made. Used the Balsa and some plastic sections. Will paint them next after the roof has been started.

A few will have some remains of glass glued in after painting.
The building its self has had a sealing coat of Matt Varnish to the front stone cladding. Once this was dry I made a mix up and applied using a brush and then sponge.

I wanted a more yellowish stone colour, might do another wash coat tomorrow afternoon.
Just for interest here is a shot of the front with the bottom front .

This will be blown out frontwards, then run over by the SP, so this will have to broken up and some details added.
The other day Pete Low very kindly sent me this .

Cheers, Rick H.

Thanks Rick....... the best is to come !!!!!.

That's a very nice flame free looking building. Some top flashing work there.

Mick thank you , but you might be wrong on the flame free.!!!!:flushed:

Don't mention the F word Mick otherwise it will be out with buckets of water again!

Steve.............. oh you are so right ! it will be and not long to wait.
Keeps getting better and better John.:thumb2:

Nice damage and colouring of the ceilings, great looking gutter and roof too.:smiling:

Thanks Fernando. ...... hope you like the roof of copper sheet and the building front.

-----------------------

Last night I did a pre colouring of the green copper on the roof. To day I did another lighter coat, there is no standard shade to use, weather, and environmental all play a part in determining the shade. I checked roofs on Google ( there are other search engines available ) :smiling5: and there were a multitude of shades.

This is the back and still wet, I hope the pools of paint stay like that, I'd thinned the colour out after doing thefront, not to bothered if it doesn't as this part is going to suffer !!!!!

Front !

View attachment 326398
I also did another coat of the cream stone, its a bit grey due to the darker back ground, but that actually does'n distract , as the stone would have suffered smoke damage and staining very quickly. Now where are the matches !!!! :anguished::anguished::smiling::smiling::nerd:

That's it for tonight, enjoy.
Hope to have a good day tomorrow, so should get those window frames painted and weathered along with the guttering.
Comments, etc welcome .

John.

Hi Jason, thanks for looking in. I'm going to use Precision Ice & Snow.
There are some good videos on U Tube from several people, including the company. I've never used it before, so should be fun.
