After years work with a H&S Silverline, that clogs frequently (maybe it's my fault) i decide to try other brand - Iwata and at this time i undecided between Iwata HP CS Eclipse and Iwata HP CP High Performance Plus...

In your opinion/experience what you think of each airbrushes ?

I have the Iwata HP CS Eclipse and can't really fault it.

I have an Iwata Revolution CR so cannot comment on the ones you have narrowed down. But if they are anything like the one I have then they are class bits of kit

I have a eclipse bud its good but nowI have a h&s infinity cr plus and I would never go back...iwata is good but there a pain to clean and the needle with that little chuck key is a nightmare..buy the infinity you will never look back

I also have a h & s infinity cr Plus and am very please with it. I agree that it is very easy to clean: the nozzle cover screws in and out by hand without a tool and the nozzle itself just pulls out or is pushed in.

When I was learning to use an airbrush (a Harder and Steenbeck CR Infinity Plus. 0.4 mm needle) I had blockages. I found that the solution, after every session, was to thoroughly clean the nozzle parts by soaking in airbrush cleaner for 5 minutes, and use one of those small bottle brushed sold for airbrushes in the tunnel that goes from the nozzle towards the trigger. Also the part of the airbrush body immediately under the paint cup. After soaking the nozzle I use an inter-dental brush (from the chemist) to clean the nozzle itself, and some wet good quality paper towel to clean the nozzle cover and the hole where the nozzle parts go into the airbrush body. Then I look down the nozzle with a magnifier against a bright light to check that the nozzle is clear. That solved blockages.....

....except for one a few weeks ago. It was caused by the paint (Vallejo acrylic) after good shaking, being thick in the bottle (perhaps that particular paint tends to do that, caused perhaps by the colouring matter used). It came out of the bottle looking rather lumpy which I didn't notice. I now put an M4 stainless steel nut in each paint bottle to get a good mixing when shaking.
