That's impressively detailed for such a small scale! Are those ROCO minitank kits?

Thank you Gern. Most are. The figs are a mix of ROCO & Preiser. The skip loader is unknown & the Boxers are ArsenalM. Molded-on grabs & lift/tow points are opened up or replaced w/wire. I use Peddinghouse decals a lot along w/bristle or guitar string antennae. PaulE

Is that the aerial photo you based the model on or the actual model itself?

The model Steve. Don't know why color got washed out. Must have been flash. The model is loosely based on a composit of several FOBs & a BW lager within a larger FOB. I made it more or less freestanding by adding more amenities like Aid station, more supply containers, showers, a/c TOC & bunkhouse. The Gepard was inspired by an in country test firing photo I saw. Thanks Jimbo, the HESCOs have crushed my mojo so I've been searching for the build photos to include here & dreaming of cleaning the misc. projects off of the Vette & getting it running. PaulE

Initial base includes slope, drainage ditch, shoulder, road crown, shoulder, drainage ditch, parking lot, drainage ditch, cut, perimeter road, OP/blockhouse foundation.

Glad I caught up with you. HESCOS are still the bane of your existence as I observe. Tremendous progress otherwise! As you well know things are not easy for us 87 scalers.

Something to report. Progress on HESCOs. Some riprap along the base to prevent erosion/undermining on the one side and a dry fit of WIP HESCO assy on the other side.
