Maybe now is a good time to do a diary of your progress, then maybe join Greyhead with his Parnall Elf in the members projects :goodluck:

Congratulations on taking the plunge !!

Looks like it will make a nice model. I confess to liking Tugs ....

Best of luck - keep us all posted on how you get along please like John says.

I've never tried a Dumas kit and your choice looks interesting.

The Carol Moran arrived. Now I'm ready to start building my first model boat.
I hope that you enjoy working with wood as the American kits seem to be in a time warp of about 20 years. There has not I think been a British kit produced by this means for a good few years.

It is a challenge so enjoy it and also the finished product. Look forward to seeing pictures of her as you go :bravo: :bravo:

Hello chaps, the UK importer of Dumas kits is J Perkins their site which I'm sure you all know of is at http://www.jperkinsdistribution.co.uk/ They have an extensive list of the Dumas range but unfortunately not of the Carol Moran. I wonder if there were enough interest, as Boatman progresses, that Perkins could be persuaded to add it to their import list.

Cheers

I just finished attaching the rub rails on one side. I have 2 more to go on the other side and I'm finished with the rub rails. Thank God!!
She is looking good. Remember no matter how keen you are to get her finished don't force yourself, because if you are not in the mood for building and you force yourself you are liable to make mistakes and then have to spend more time sorting out the mistakes you have made. It is fun to build not a business :chickenfa
