Has anyone used this before? What is the best thing to make the moulds out of?

I have an idea to 'home make' something for one of my kits and if it comes out good then i'll make a few more and sell them to interested people. Not going into mass producing or anything like that but if i can do it then i may as well share the item with a few people.
 
The Magazine 'FineScale Modeler' dated March 2011; Vol 29-Issue 3 has an article regarding - 'Mastering and casting a Resin Model' Cheers Derek
 
I am interested in this to. I want to just do things like the odd spare wheel to add to a truck or such. I know I have seen a 'starter kit' advertised somewhere where you get some silicon mould stuff and a bit of resin just to get you started. I think this may be in a magazine will have a look later.

A few years ago I belonged to our local model boat club and one of the guys did a talk on this subject

He made it sound very easy so I had a go, he was right, it really is very simple

The 40gal drum on my Nancy build is cast from one of my moulds
